How It Works

From the first measurement to money in the bank.

Four stages, the same every time. The roof work is the short part; the approvals set the calendar, and we chase every one of them.

  1. Step 1 · 1 hour, on site

    Free roof survey

We measure the usable roof, run a shadow study through the day, check the structure and read your load. You get an honest size and a quotation that names every component.

Drone survey view of a traditional Kerala home with a SEDNA rooftop arrayDrone survey view of a traditional Kerala home with a SEDNA rooftop array
  2. Step 2 · Within days

    Design and quotation

A complete design sized to your bill, not to a subsidy slab. ALMM-listed modules and an established inverter, with the exact models written into the quote.

Top-down drone view of a SEDNA array, laid out to the roof's shade-free areaTop-down drone view of a SEDNA array, laid out to the roof's shade-free area
  3. Step 3 · Typically 2 to 6 weeks

    Subsidy paperwork and KSEB approvals

The PM Surya Ghar application and KSEB feasibility go in with you, in your own login. Nothing is installed before approval, because installing early can cost you the subsidy.

PM Surya Ghar · filed by us

    ₹78,000

Paid straight into the customer's bank account after KSEB commissions the system. Never through us.

  4. Step 4 · 2 to 3 days on the roof

    Install, commission, service

Structure, modules, inverter, earthing and surge protection. Then the KSEB inspection, the net meter, and the certificate upload that releases your subsidy. After that, no customer waits more than 24 hours for service.

Questions

What everyone asks first.

Straight answers about cost, savings, installation, subsidy and what happens after you switch to solar.

Yes. For systems of 3 kW and above under PM Surya Ghar, and we file the paperwork with your application. We don't take it on your behalf; it comes directly to your bank account, typically 30 to 90 days after commissioning.

A correctly sized system removes most of your bill. A home paying ₹3,000 a month typically drops to a few hundred rupees, sometimes near zero. The exact figure depends on your consumption pattern and roof, which is what the free survey calculates. Use the calculator on this page for a first estimate.

As a rule of thumb, divide your monthly bill by ₹1,000 to get a starting kW figure: a ₹3,000 bill points to about 3 kW. The honest answer comes from your units consumed and your roof, measured at survey. Beware of anyone who quotes a size over the phone without seeing either.

A standard on-grid system switches off during outages for the safety of KSEB linemen working on the grid. That is a national safety standard, not a defect. If outages matter in your area, a hybrid system keeps essential circuits running from a battery. We recommend based on how often your locality actually loses power.

Output drops on heavy rain days but never to zero, and the annual average we quote, roughly 4 units per kW per day, already includes the monsoon. Net metering banks your sunny-month surplus with KSEB as credit, which you draw back in the wet months. The billing year evens out what the weather refuses to.

The physical installation of a home system takes 2 to 3 days. End to end, from survey to net-metered commissioning, typically runs four to eight weeks, mostly consumed by KSEB approvals and meter availability rather than construction. We chase every stage so you don't have to.
