PM Surya Ghar 2026: loan, EMI and the full process
2026
Install solar now and pay for it in monthly instalments through your bank, with the PM Surya Ghar subsidy of up to ₹78,000 still credited to you. After the last EMI, the power from your roof is yours.

Loans through your bank

Most nationalised banks offer rooftop solar loans. Logos belong to their banks and are shown to name where our customers have applied.
You talk to SEDNA. We handle the quotation the bank needs, the subsidy portal and KSEB, in order.
We size the system to your bill and write the exact panels, inverter and price into the quotation. The bank uses this quote for the loan.
We register you on the PM Surya Ghar portal and help with the bank's loan papers, side by side, so neither waits for the other.
The bank sanctions the loan while KSEB checks feasibility. Nothing goes on the roof before KSEB's approval.
Two to three days on the roof, then KSEB's inspection and the net meter. From here, your bill starts to fall.
Up to ₹78,000, credited by the government straight to your bank account after commissioning. You pay the EMI; KSEB gets far less.
From a customer
Salil Kumar's family went to Canara Bank, got clear information on the subsidy, applied, and received it in their account. Their bill went from up to ₹2,000 a month to around ₹200 to ₹300. Your bank is a good place to start, and we help with the papers either way.
More customers on camera“We went to Canara Bank, they gave us clear information on the subsidy, we filled in the application and the subsidy came to our account. Our bill was up to ₹2,000 a month; now it is around ₹200 to ₹300.”

Yes. The loan and the PM Surya Ghar subsidy are separate. Your home system is registered for the subsidy as usual, and the subsidy is credited to your bank account after KSEB commissions it.
Our customers have applied through State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India and Central Bank of India. Most nationalised banks offer rooftop solar loans; your own bank is usually the easiest place to start.
Loan terms run from three to ten years, depending on the bank and the amount. For home rooftop solar, nationalised banks generally do not ask for collateral; your bank confirms this for your loan amount.
It depends on the bank and moves with interest rates generally, so we do not print a figure here. Ask us when you call and we will tell you what our customers are being offered at the time.
Yes. Loans are available for on-grid, hybrid and off-grid systems. The government subsidy applies to grid-connected home systems: on-grid, and hybrid systems connected to KSEB.
It depends on your bill, the system size and the loan term. We will put your current bill beside the EMI for your system in the quotation, so you can see both numbers before you decide.

Send us your latest KSEB bill. We will size the system and put the EMI beside your current bill.
